Hi we are Cornwall schoolboy scramble club, The club aim to give top class racing in and around the Cornwall area. The club was started in the early 70s to provide a safe place to discover the sport and is still very strong today, We welcome all new people to the sport and what with 2 new tracks this year to add to the list and the all new Fraddon moto parc being built for the club we have a lot to offer everyone wishing to race with Cornwall club. Our fixture list is packed this year with alot of great events and venues.

Cornwall SSC - Masters of Motocross Fraddon 3rd Aug - Report

Cornwall schoolboy scramble club held a fun 2 dayer meeting at the brilliant Fraddon Moto Park venue. The meeting replaced the unfortunate cancellation of the motocross week but saw great weather and track conditions throughout the weekend.
The meeting was Proudly sponsored by the team from Dameralls Motorcycles who donated all of the meetings trophies and awards as well as putting on a competition. Saturday also saw some entertainment including a disco, hog roast and a few fireworks was also set off.

The amx class was unleashed for the first race of the weekend with Guy Jacobs grabbing the best start taking the first race holeshot. Daniel Wade was leading the pack out front by lap 2 but Wadey was unable to match the pace of Kelvin Townsend who went on to take the first race win. Kelvin townsend remained on form and went on to take all 3 of saturdays race wins. Justin Hawkins had a great days riding claiming a fifth, second and third. Dan wade took two seconds and a third.
Day two saw Daniel Wade claim the first race holeshot. Wayne Slater had a brilliant start flying out front in fourth. Daniel Wade started pulling in a lead from the rest of the pack but a very fast performance saw Leon Burt pulling in the gap lap by lap he was unable to get close enough to take the win which Wade secured. Johnny Hawkins had a strong ride in third. Race two saw Daniel Wade holeshot but a nasty start pile up saw the race red flagged and re run. Leon Burt holeshot the re run and went on to take the race win ahead of Daniel Wade and johnny Hawkins who secured another strong third. Dan Wade get the better of Leon in the final race of the weekend and claimed first over all the days. Johnny Hawkins consistently solid racing took him to second overall. Nick Lee got the edge on Mark Calcutt in third and fourth. Stylish jumping throughout the weekend helped James Millward to take fifth. Whilst a good weekends riding saw Wayne Slater take sixth.

Amx Open racing was underway with Sam Chapman taking the first race holeshot. Chapman pulled a big lead leaving Craig Dawe and Wayne Back to battle there 250 2 strokes alone. Sam chapman was riding smooth out front with a strong lead whilst Craig Dawe starts to get the edge upon Wayne Back. Sam Chapman took the race win as deserved whilst Craig Dawe snapped the second ahead of Wayne Back. Race two began with race one winner Sam Chapman taking the race holeshot. Sam went on to take another race win after a great ride throughout. Wayne Back claimed the second spot he narrowly missed out on in the previous race whilst Bill Farley put a strong performance in and achieved third ahead of Craig Dawe who claimed fourth. Sam Chapman also took the final race win of the weekend ahead of Bill Farley who stepped it up a pace to claim second ahead of Craig Dawe. Wayne Back was involved in a nasty accident and despite completing the race at a strong pace. Wayne was later rushed into hospital after collapsing when he pulled off. Wayne was fortunatly seen back at the meeting later that evening safe and well.
Day two saw day one dominator Sam Chapman right out front from the start claiming another race holeshot and early lead. Lap one saw Sam Chapman leading the pack with Chairman Matthew Thomas and Shaun Browning Close behind in second and third.
Guy Jacobs was back out racing on a friends 250F after his 125 suffered a major fault within the gear box on saturday. Shaun Browning took an unfortunate fall and dropped further down the pack leaving Guy Jacobs and Matthew Thomas to battle for second. Sam chapman took the race win with Matthew Thomas staying on form to keep ahead of Guy Jacobs to take second, leaving Jacobs to claim third.
Race Two saw Sam Chapman unable to take the holeshot as Matthew Thomas had the best start out of the large line up of riders.
But Sam Chapman was well on form once again and went on to take the race win securing a dominating first overall. Matt Thomas claimed second and second overall ahead of a great riding Mike Mcnamara who finished on his best result of the weekend. Sean Browning raced strong throughout the weekend and took a fantastic third making his way to the podium. Ben Braddick took fourth ahead of Chester Blair Jun. Whilst Sixth was taken By Chrish Clapham.

Seniors first race took place with the 125 talented rider of Bradley Maddever claiming the race holeshot. Ross Deason was seen way back after the first lap. Maverick Smith was back racing and upgraded from big wheels after being absent recently due to a broken arm.
Bradley maddever raced brilliant throughout the race and took the race win ahead of Brad Bailighio who took second ahead of third spot Jack Voller. Race Two was under way with Brad Bilithio claiming the race holeshot. Alex Hockey was seen over shooting part of the track almost slamming into the headge but was lucky to escape a fall and rejoined in around tenth. Brad Bilithio claimed first overall keeping the 125 of Bradley Maddever behind settling for second. Jack Stevens had a blinder of a race and took third spot respectively. The final seniors race of the first day was holeshotted by Alex Hockey. Brad Biligthio claimed the race win again ahead of Maddever. Jack Voller snapped up the third place spot a great finish to the first day.
Seniors second day racing saw a lot of new riders amongst the start line that hadent attended the first day and throughout the day those riders were looking fitter than the 2 dayer racers. The first race was unleashed with Brad Bilithio claiming the holeshot. Toby Harvey and Rocky Lethaby looked well on form after being absent the first day. Lawrence Harper had a bad start and was seen dead last in the early stages. Jack Blackburn was out racing a borrowed bike after his Honda 250F blew up on saturday. Kieran Fogarty was seen having another great race again mounted on his brothers RMZ 250F. Alex hockey was riding well up front but as the later stages of the race saw him take an unfortunate fall dropping down at least 5 places. Brad Bilighio took the race win. With Bradley Maddever top two stroke once again taking second. A brilliant ride saw Stuart Smith claim a much deserved third. Race two was under way with Rocky Lethaby taking the race holeshot. Moments later a massive pile up formed on the first jump and the race was red flagged. Despite the severity of the incident nobody was extremely hurt despite it involving many riders. The race was re run later and Rocky Lethaby secured the holeshot once again. This time all riders flew safely over the first jump. Alex Hockey was dead last and far behind the rest of the pack having a lot of catching up to do. Alex road to maximum and reached the back of the pack riders by lap 3. Hockey then snapped up six places within a single lap. Lawrence Harper had a brilliant ride and was riding as strong as ever and was seen having a fast pursuit battle with Stuart Smith. Brad Bilighio took the final race win securing first overall. Bradley maddever claimed another second taking second overall.
Jack stevens had another spectacular ride and took third and third overall. Josh Taylor missed out on the podium position taking fourth overall. Stuart Smith took fifth overall after some great racing throughout the weekend. And despite some bad luck and being seen far down in dead last Alex hockey was greatly awarded sixth overall with his best efforts paying off.

Brilliant racing was displayed throughout the weekend by a great line up off Big wheel 85 racers. The first race was under way with Harry Sherman taking the holeshot being the first rider launching over the first table top. Will Hawkins was up front riding fast with Harry Hart,Dan Guy and Jack Gribble. 2 laps in to the race Dan Guy drops back. Harry Hart closes up to second place with Will Hawkins looking over to him. Dan Guy rides awesomely by far the fastest rider on the track. Jamie Buckingham raced well putting in a solid performance keeping ahead of master jump scrubber Jack Gribble. Harry Sherman took the first race win ahead of a great riding William Hawkins, Harry hart pulled in in third as top fourstroke in the pack. Dan Guy leads the second race in the early stages riding to a high standard making up for the bad result in the previous race. Jack Gribble was seen charging through the track scrubbing every jump in superb style. Dan Guy powered to the front taking the race win. Harry Sherman pulled in, in second being the top two stroke for that race ahead of another strong ride by Williams Hawkins. Race three was under way and William Hawkins was dead last at the start but was able to push up through the pack well. Harry Hart was riding strong but started to drop furthurt down field. Jack Gribble scrubs himself to the lead in lap 5. Jack Gribble hanged it out front and went to take the race win. Jordan Hembrow came in as top fourstroke in second with Harry sherman securing third.
Sundays first big wheel race was underway with Harry Sherman snapping the race holeshot. Lap 3 Saw Will hawkins go down on the step off which saw him rejoin in around eighteenth. Harry Hart was seen in a close battle With Jamie Buckingham. The last lap Flag goes out and Harry Sherman gets caught up by a back marker and Dan Guy gets the better line from him taking the chequered flag and race win away from him. Jack Gribble took the third spot respectively. Race two was underway with Harry Sherman claiming another race holeshot. Jack Gribble was seen well down the pack but was seen pushing up well through the pack. Harry Sherman was raging out front with Dan Guy. Williams Hawkins was having another solid ride being the top cornwall racer in the pack.
Matthew Winn was well on form and riding well throughout the race at a strong pace. Harry Sherman took the race win ahead of Dan Guy and Jack gribble. Harry Sherman took the overall victory. Dan Guy powerd to take second overall. Scrubbing fanatic Jack Gribble claimed a strong third. William Hawkins raced well all weekend securing fourth overall. Little Jamie Buckingham took fifth ahead of sixth overall Harry Davey.

Small wheel 85cc racing was fast and furiouse all weekend with great racing throughout the pack. Josh Gilbert attended the event being away from his usual national duties and had a great start to the weekend as he holeshot the first race taking an early lead. Whilst Josh Gilbert started pulling away out front. Jack Roberts and Dean Symons battled for second. The battle became exhileratiing towards the end as they flew past the line togeather making it close to call on who got the edge. Josh Gilbert took the race win ahead of Bill Gribble. And lapscorers decsion saw Dean Symons claim the third spot with Jack Roberts missing out by inches. Race two was underway with Josh Gilbert taking the holeshot once again. Bill Gribble was seen taking a stumble in the whoops section. Josh Gilbert took the race win with Dean Symons taking second with Jack Roberts claiming third close behind. Race three saw Bill Gribble absent from the strart as he took Broken Knuckles in the previous race despite having finished. Josh Gilbert took another race win once again ahead of Dean Symons and Jack Roberts.
Day 2 was underway and Josh Gilbert holeshotted getting another early lead. Bill Gribble was back on the start gates despite having broken knuckles and was seen riding brilliantly despite injury. Josh Gilbert takes another race win, Jack Roberts put in a strong performance taking second, injured yet still on the pace, Bill Gribble takes third. Josh Gilbert holeshot the final race of the weekend, Josh rides stronger than ever and pulls a massive lead on the rest of the pack proving to be untouchable. Jack Roberts, Bill Gribble and Brendon Cooper battle together, Bill Gribbles broken nuckles seemed to cause a few problems later in the race as Bill unfortunately stalled the bike. Josh Gilbert took the race win dominating the class throughout the weekend taking all race wins and holeshots securing first overall with ease. Jack Roberts took second securing second overall. Brendon Cooper took third overall. Joe Eiffert claimed fourth. Ben Roberts raced well all weekend taking a well deserved fifth overall. Sixth overall went to Zac Hudson who raced to the best of his abbilities throughout the weekend. Despite broken knuckles Bill Gribble claimed seventh ahead of eighth overall Charlie Stevens.

The Juniors racing was kickstarted with Aidan Williams taking the first race holesehot.Thomas Andrew was seen racing a brand new 2011 KTM riding well up the front of the pack. Lucy Calvert was having a strong ride. Leo Kessel, Kian Mayho and Sam Johns was having there own battle at the back of the pack with nither riding giving an inch. Aidan Williams took the race win ahead of a great riding Matthew Treen. Alfie Crocker claimed third after a solid ride. Sam Johns got the better of Kian Mayho as the back of the pack battle came to an end. Race two saw Aidan Williams grab a good holeshot. Matthew Treen was riding strong thoughout the race. Aidan Williams took the second race win with Matthew Treen taking second. Alfie Crocker had another strong ride which saw him claim third.The final race of the first day saw Aidan williams take victory again, Matthew Treen put in another strong performance but was unable to match the pace of Aidan leaving him to settle for a respectiable second. Henry Bees was well on form through the race and showed he had what it takes to be out front taking third to finish the first day.
The first race of the second day saw Aidan Williams claim another race holeshot after charging up the start straight. A Big battle for second formed beetween Matthew Treen, Alfie Crocker and Todd Sawyer. Whilst Lucy Calvert raced well Keeping the 2011 KTM of Thomas Andrew behind her. Aidan Williams took the race win, whilst Matthew Treen stayed on form through the race to claim the second spot ahead of Alfie Crocker. The second race saw Another holeshot taken By Aidan Williams. Aidan becomes untouchable from the rest of the pack and pulls a massive lead away from the oposition. Matthew Treen was having another good ride up front but was later seen drop back due to a suspected fall. Aidan Williams took the race win securing first overall. Alfie Crocker took second claiming third overall.
Matthew Treen Came runner up taking second overall after a solid weekends racing. Henry Bees raced well throughout the weekend and secured a briliant fourth overall narrowly missing out from a podium finish. Dan Roberts claimed fifth overall ahead of sixth overall Callum Jago.


Automatics racing was underway with Tyler Rowe taking the first race holeshot. Sam Hunt stood out within the pack riding at a very fast pace as improved riding continues. Tyler Rowe took the race win ahead of Louie Kessel. A strong ride by Sam Hunt saw him come in third. Tyler Rowe was back out front for the second race of the day and was riding on form. Louie Kessel was riding well but still unable to match Tylers Pace. Sam Hunt raced strong once more and secured third once more. Tyler Rowe took the race win. With Louie Kessel having to settle for second. The final race of the first day saw Archie Bees charging claiming the race holeshot. Archie raced strongly and was seen leading the pack for a lap. But it was Tyler Rowe that claimed the chequared flag. Louie Kessel claimed second and race holeshotter Archie Bees claimed a much deserved third. Whilst Jason Down took fourth. The second day saw Louie Kessel holeshot the first of the automatic races. Louie was unable to stay out front as Tyler Rowe took the lead away from him by the end of the first lap.
Tyler Rowe went on to take another race win. Louie Kessel took another strong second. With Archie Jason Down having another great race taking third. Tyler Rowe went on to win the remaining two races of the weekend securing a dominating first overall.
Louie Kessel raced consistently well throughout the weekend and took second overall. Archie Bees had a great weekends racing and after being seen leading at times he secured a much deserved third overall stepping it up to the podium.
Sam Hunt raced well and narrowly missed out on the podium securing fourth overall ahead of fifth overall Jason Down. Connor Jago claimed sixth overall. Whilst Best efforts helped Danny Braddick to achieve ninth overall.


The meeting was abandoned and some groups missed out on there final races due to incidents and time running out. The club wishes all injured riders a speedy recovery.
