South West Motocross Club Held the first of it’s two dayers at the fabulous Tiverton
Circuit over the bank holiday weekend.
The weather was just about perfect, with rain on Saturday, then glorious sunshine throughout Sunday and Monday. Sensible watering and track grading kept the dust to an absolute minimum for the 180 riders who stayed for the weekend.
Auto rider Louie Kessell kept the pressure on Sundays winner ,James Rowe to take the overall victory after James failed to finish one race dropping him to 5th .Ryan Mundell overhauled Morgan Timms to grab runner up spot after only finishing 4th on Sunday. Archie Bees, Jordan Hayman and Jason Down rounded out the top finishers.
Visiting National Junior rider Albie Wilkie was un beaten over the weekend although Harry’s Kimber and Pritchard tried hard on Monday. Matthew Treen lost a couple of championship points to Henry Bees on Sunday but easily took the 2nd place trophy ahead of fast lady Lucy Calvert in 3rd ,Bees 4th,Suzuki mounted Jordan Allen 5th and Todd Sawyer 6th .
Cornwall’s Josh Gibert won all his races in the small wheel class ahead of fellow cornishman Dean Symons. Jack Roberts edged ahead of Brendon Cooper and Luke Oldfield on Sundays results, both were joined by Dan Mundell and Joe Eiffert once the two days were calculated.
There were 4 different winners in the Big Wheel races .Sundays winners Danielle Marsh and Jordan Hembrow were absent on Monday leaving injured returnee Jamie Buckingham heading the points table on Monday from Connor Palmer. Connor took one win and a third for the Overall from George Burrows and Callum Williams. Harry Hart hit the front in race five to secure 4th place. Cole Baker Edwards and Luke Whiteman next .
5 senior races, 5 different winners. Ayrton Fiorenzio, Aaron Jenkins, Ben Denison, took Sundays. Overall winner Jack Stevens and Jubilant Rocky Lethaby won Monday‘s races. Ayrton Gordon ,Kyle Beckerlegg and Kieran Chugg were the other riders to gain a top six overall
Amx/Open riders were headed in every race by Wayne Shimmel, Aaron Austin had Darren Toy for company on Sunday’s battle for championship points. Visiting from Kent Adam Cooper and Ben Crane filled the middle positions from Liam Poll, Nick Lee and Alex Buckingham over the two days.
