Club Championship 2 day meeting
Hi we are Cornwall schoolboy scramble club, The club aim to give top class racing in and around the Cornwall area. The club was started in the early 70s to provide a safe place to discover the sport and is still very strong today, We welcome all new people to the sport and what with 2 new tracks this year to add to the list and the all new Fraddon moto parc being built for the club we have a lot to offer everyone wishing to race with Cornwall club. Our fixture list is packed this year with alot of great events and venues.

Cornwall schoolboy scramble club hosted a 2 day event on May 1st and 2nd.Saturday was a fun day with Sunday being club championship round four.
The meeting was held at Truthen Farm near Truro.
Saturday saw great weather and track conditions. There was some very quick racing taking place through all the classes.AMX race two saw Mervyn Vernon put the fun in the meeting by riding a Thumpstar 120cc pitbike. This gave all racers and spectators some laughable entertainment.
The fun meeting came to an end and soon after rain started to fall. More rain showers throughout the night showed conditions were likely to be more challenging for club championship day. Club championship day was underway with AMX taking a long practice. Saturday’s rain turned the track into very slick conditions. After a long practice block the track began to dry out dramatically and soon after the dust was flying as the racing began.
A great start by Morgan Timms saw him take the holes hot just ahead of Louie Kessel, as the automatic racing was underway. Tyler Rowe took the first race win ahead of Morgan and Sam Hunt who had a fantastic ride. Louie Kessel flew out the gate to take the race two hole shot. Tyler Rowe was soon out front on his way to take another race win, Ahead of Morgan and Louie. The final race of the day saw Louie Kessel take another great start to take the hole shot. Morgan Timms took the lead by lap 2.But a slightly quicker Tyler Rowe was again out front on his way to a three win maximum and overall victory. Sam Hunt attacked the once more taking him to fourth overall. Whilst best efforts claimed Connor Jago eighth.
The Junior 65cc first race saw Aidan Williams out front with Alfie Crocker trying hard behind him. Aidan took the race win ahead of Alfie, whilst riding one of his favourite tracks Henry Bees took third. Thomas Andrew took the race two hole shot. Aidan lead the pack ahead of Alfie and Matthew Treen, Whilst Bees raced alone in fourth. Visiting rider Matthew Treen shot out the start gates to take the final race holeshot. Whilst Henry Bees stylishly wheeled out his selected gate. Maximum efforts saw Alfie Crocker take a much deserved win. Matthew Treen took second ahead of Aidan. Whilst Todd Sawyers solid days racing saw him take fifth ahead of sixth overall Dan Roberts.
Small wheel 85cc racing took place with Dean Symons taking the hole shot. Junior 65cc rider Alfie Crocker lent his KTM65 to Jake Curtis Stevens that had suspected problems with his KX85 after Saturday. The racing saw riders spaced out in a very follow the leader style although all riders road well. Dean took the win ahead of Bill Gribble and Joe Eiffert. Race one winner Dean Symons had a great start by taking the race two hole shot. Further down the pack Zac Hudson and Ollie Brooks were battling tight with neither rider given an inch. Dean took another race win, whilst consistency saw Bill and Joe take second and third. Final race of the day saw Oliver Winn Claim the final race hole shot. Dean Symons soon took the lead. Whilst Bill Gribble was charging behind on his 150F.Whilst Jake Curtis Steven road strong on Crockers 65.Dean took the race win and overall spot. Whilst finishing the weekend in third Brendon Cooper claimed fourth overall.
Jack Penhaligon took the big wheel 85cc class hole shot abroad his CRF150F.Whilst soon after a small group of riders formed a pileup.By the end of the first lap Will Hawkins lead the pack on his KX85.Matthew Winn was dead last after being involved in the start collision.Harry Hart had a great race.Whilst Eddy Crocker road strong in eigth.Will took the race win ahead of Maverick Smith and Jack Gribble.Maverick smith powerd down the start straight to take the race two holeshot.Soon after Jack Gribble over shot the next corner.After leading well Maverick Smith Crashed up the hill lending the lead to Will.Maverick was soon back Circulating well.Maverick was seen pull of the track due to the arm he broke last summer gave out.A dissapointing end to a Brilliant start to the 2010 season.Will took the race win ahead of Jack Gribble and Harry Hart.Final Race was underway with Will Hawkins grabbing the holeshot.Jack Penhaligons 150 got the edge as jack took the lead lap 3.Whilst Jack Gribble took a suspected fall in the second field.Dropping him almost a lap down.Will took the race win and overall Victory.Eddy Crocker took a strong fifth overall.
The YZ125 of Bradley Maddever snapped up the hole shot for the first senior race. Alex Hockey dropped his KTM 250F at the bottom of one of the tracks hills, dropping him dead last. But Alex's Great riding saw him soon push up through the pack. Lap 2 saw Liam Curtis Stevens take to the front of the pack. Josh Taylor had a good ride riding a solid pace. Whilst Liam Collings raced strong further down the field. Liam Curtis Stevens took the first race win ahead of Jamie Orchard and Bradley Maddever. Race One winner Liam Curtis Stevens charged out the start gate to claim the race two hole shot.
Lawrence Harper had an unfortunate fall as he span out on the second hill. Alex Hockey had a very strong ride, riding much better than in the first race. Stuart Smith was riding great all over the back of Liam Curtis Stevens. Whilst Jamie Orchard passes Alex Hockey at the start of lap 3.Jamie was then seen drop well done mid pack. Liam took the race win ahead of Bradley Maddever and Stuart Smith. Final race of the day saw Bradley Maddever take the race hole shot. End of the first lap saw Liam Curtis Stevens, Alex Hockey and Bradley Maddever all very close together. Liam Collings took a crash in the whoops on the first lap but finished to grab some championship points. Liam Curtis Stevens took the race win and First overall. Jack Blackburn rode solid all weekend to take fifth overall, away from visiting rider Jack Stevens.
AMX open class saw Wayne Back take the first race hole shot. Sean Browning had a good start but Went down re starting Next to last. Daniel Wade passed Wayne Back for the lead at the start of lap 2.Johnny Hawkins then over took him. Wayne immediately pulled of the track with suspected mechanical problems a real disappointment. Daniel Wade took the race win ahead of Johnny Hawkins and Darren Toy. The start of the second race saw several riders fall down. All were soon back up and riding. Craig Dawe soon took the lead, but Dan wade got the edge too take the race win. Whilst a solid performance claimed third for Johnny Hawkins. Race three saw Dan Wade out front leading, Darren Toy and Johnny Hawkins. Sam Chapman pulled to the side of the track early on, on his Maico 490.A good fight was had between Justin Hawkins and Frank James Opie. Whilst Marc Hoskin had a good ride trying out a KXF 250F.Daniel wade took the race win ahead of Darren and Johnny whilst Sam Chapman pushed across the line.
