Hi we are Cornwall schoolboy scramble club, The club aim to give top class racing in and around the Cornwall area. The club was started in the early 70s to provide a safe place to discover the sport and is still very strong today, We welcome all new people to the sport and what with 2 new tracks this year to add to the list and the all new Fraddon moto parc being built for the club we have a lot to offer everyone wishing to race with Cornwall club. Our fixture list is packed this year with alot of great events and venues.

Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble club riders returned to Truthen Farm near Truro. The track had been improved since the last meeting held here with the addition of A step down, a step up and the whoops had been refurbished into a triple. The day had great sunny weather throughout and the dust was flying amongst the fast and furious racing that took place throughout.
The track was watered before the First AMX open race due to high levels of dust that kept shredding from the track.
Smashing through the gears saw Johnny Hawkins take a clear hole shot as the first race was underway. Daniel Wade soon took the lead powering ahead on his KXF250.Sean Browning was getting to grips with his new KXF 450 in a strong second spot. The aggressive rider of Wayne Back was flying on his Brand new YZ250 2 stroke. All 3 top riders maintained their position as the chequered flag flew for race winner Daniel Wade. Race one winner Daniel Wade took to the front of the pack as soon as the second race started, taking the hole shot. Wadey stayed out front throughout the race leaving a strong battle for third between Craig Dawe and Sean Browning. Wadey took the race win ahead of Wayne Back, whilst Sean Browning got the edge on Craig Dawe to come in Third. Wayne Back threw his new YZ out of the starting gates to take the race three hole shot. Dan Wade took to the lead showing he was not going to have his overall three win maximum taken away, which he claimed when the race ended. Jack Talbot battled with Wayne Slator. Whilst James Williams showed a 125 could cut the pace out front taking a brilliant third, taking third overall.
The Gates dropped for the first seniors race of the day Bradley Maddever got the edge on Alex Hockey to claim the hole shot. Bradley raced in a very smooth style out front and went ahead to take the first race win with Alex Hockey in second ahead of Stuart Smith who had a solid ride throughout the race. Race two saw Alex Hockey hole shot and power in the lead. Brad maintained a smooth style of riding putting pressure on Alex. Bradley Maddever took the race win ahead of south west's Jack Stevens who put on a solid performance, whilst ever trying Alex Hockey took third. Alex Hockey secured the race three hole shot. Soon after Alex Hockey collided with Stuart Smith which saw both riders go down. Stuart rejoined soon after. But a dazed Alex rejoined far down in last having to chase the rest of the pack down. Kieran Fogarty had a great ride riding strong up in fourth. Bradley Maddever took the race and overall win. Jack Stevens claimed another second securing second overall. A strong performance saw Josh Taylor take third securing fifth overall ahead of sixth overall Jack Blackburn .Whilst despite shear bad luck in the final race Alex Hockey took fourth overall.
A good line up of 85 big wheel riders took off as the gates dropped for the first race. 2009 Cornwall champion Jack Gribble took the race hole shot. A great start by Cameron Young saw him take to the lead early on. As Eddy Crocker took a bad start and was pushing up through the back of the pack. Jack Gribble found his old form and took the race win ahead of Harry Hart and Will Hawkins.
Race two saw the first corner being watered which caused many riders to fall down at the start. Harry Hart re started dead last. Whilst hole shotter Cameron Young lead the pack. The race saw a big battle for third between Jack Penhaligon, Adam Dawe and Matthew Winn. Tristan Young road well further down the field on his TM. Will Hawkins got the Edge on Jack Gribble to take the race win. Whilst Matt Winn came up top as the Battle for third was over. Race 3 saw Will Hawkins take the race hole shot. Half way round the first lap saw Jack Gribble slide out on a corner leaving it to late to brake. Jack Gribble later fell down again after trying to hard catching up with fourth. Will Hawkins took the race win ahead of Harry Hart and a fantastic ride saw Adam Dawe shred the dust burms as he took a strong third ahead of Jack Gribble.
Dean Symons shot out the starting gates to claim the first race hole shot as the exciting small wheel racing began. Talented Josh Gilbert soon on took the lead with Jack Roberts hanging on in second. Jack Roberts went down in the tracks new triple section which allowed Bill Gribble and Dean Symons to pass within a flash. Further down the field racing Buddies Zac Hudson and Ollie Brooks was in a hot pursuit but it was the KX85 of Zac Hudson that made it to the chequered flag first, after Josh Gilbert took the race win ahead of Bill and Dean. Whilst Jack Roberts came in next to last. Dean Symons had another Perfect start to claim the race two hole shot, Josh Gilbert again get out front leading the pack but had pressure stacked on by Dean Symons who raced to a maximum. The pressure became too high for Josh Gilbert which forced him a mistake allowing the efforts to pay off for Dean as he took the lead away. Josh Gilbert was soon back to third but trying to hard, Josh went down again and was seen running in fifth. Dean Symons claimed the race win proving he could run with the red bull pro national riders if given the chance. The Suzuki RM85 of Jack Roberts claimed the much deserved second, whilst the Albion KTM of Josh Gilbert managed to get back into third.
150F power saw Bill Gribble take the final race hole shot. An intense battle for second erupted early on as Josh Gilbert cleared off away from the rest of the pack. Jack Roberts, Dean Symons and Bill Gribble pushed each other’s limits as they all put on a great performance to hold second. Lap 6 saw the added pressure of lap markers. The pressure became to much Jack Roberts as he went down spinning out around a corner. Roberts was soon back up chasing after them whilst Dean and Bill continued the battle.4 corners later Dean Symons came flying down the hill leaving it to late to brake. Dean flew over one of the large dust burms witch shot him up in the air and slamming him down hard over the handlebars leaving Bill Gribble to claim second holding all pressure of him. Josh Gilbert took an easy race win whilst despite a great performance saw Dean Symons secured third taking second overall. Joe Eiffert spent the weekend at the front of the pack and claimed fourth overall ahead of fifth and sixth Brendon Cooper and Jack Roberts.
The Juniors racing was underway with Aidan Williams taking a hole shot gaining the lead early on. Lucy Calvert had a bad start but was seen pushing up through the pack well Aidan took the race win ahead of Alfie Crocker and Matthew Treen. Aidan Williams took another race hole shot and went on to take the race win. Matthew Treen got the better of Alfie Crocker in second and third. Matthew Treen claimed the final race hole shot. Joe Hart was seen having a big crash on one of the tracks bends and was unable to finish the race. Aidan took another win taking overall victory with Treen and Crocker second and third. A good day racing saw Tom Truscott take sixteenth.
A small group of auto riders raced a shortened version of the track. Louie Kessel claimed the first race hole shot. Ever improving Morgan Timms chased after Louie for second right until the flag flew but was unable to make a pass. Tyler Rowe took the race win with Louie and Morgan in second and third. Louie Kessel had a great start taking the race two hole shot but instantly came down and hit the dirt, he escaped injury and was soon back up and was up to third by the end of the first lap had finished. Tyler Rowe ripped the dirt and claimed the race win again ahead of Louie and Morgan. Race three saw Tyler performing well leading the pack once again. Second again saw a battle between Louie Kessel and Morgan Timms. A strong saw Morgan Timms claim second ahead of Louie in third. Archie Bees was seen have his best ride of the day in the final race and took fourth overall. Whilst just one point separated fifth and sixth overall Andrew Roebuck and Sam Hunt. Seventh and eighth overall Connor Jago and Alfie Calvert were also separated by just a single point.
