A popular motocross personality and familiar voice of the sport has brought the chequered flag down on a successful two-wheeled Bridgestone sponsorship.
Amy Dargan, a Motors TV commentator and face of the Motocross GP paddock, was the star-turn at the final round of the British Schoolboy Motorcycle Association’s (BSMA) Clubman’s Series, which Bridgestone put its name alongside for the first time this year.
Amy has been involved in television and live event presenting since 2012 and has experience from all corners of motor racing including FIM World Motocross Championship, FIM World Speedway Championship, FIM World Snowcross Championship.
At the Pen-Y-Bont final round, she interviewed the series champion from each class and presented the winners with their respective trophies.
The six-round Clubman’s Series was resurrected in 2014, following an absence from the domestic motocross calendar.
The competition boasts different age classes and Bridgestone believes that the partnership has already presented a significant number of opportunities with a broad, captive audience.
Bridgestone’s training development manager Mark Fereday said: “We are long standing admirers of motocross and were delighted to sponsor the Clubman Championship for the first time.
“The series underlined just how much talent is out there on a local level, which made for a hugely exciting spectacle across all six rounds.
“Amy’s attendance rounded off a successful sponsorship perfectly. It was great to see so many fans and spectators getting their autographs and pictures with her.
“Equally pleasing was the sheer numbers of people at each round, who helped make for some memorable events up and down the country.
“We boast a portfolio of motocross tyre products which we believe are amongst the very best in the industry and a sponsorship like this has allowed us to raise awareness in our offering and stimulate interest too.”
