Severn Valley’s First Meeting under New Committee

New Committee for Severn Valley pulled a great 1st meeting off despite all the recent weather.

Brookthorpe played host to the there 1st meeting with a slightly altered track. This was the first time that Brookthorpe has track as ran as early as 17th February!

Riders faced difficult conditions due to the on going wet weather, but the true motocross riders did not allow this to dampen their spirits with over 20 riders in both adult groups signed on.

Adult group one was first to the line with Brad Wheeler taking all 3 race wins,  Chris Povey despite two second place positions had a DNF in the first race which left the door open for the Truman brothers to battle for second and third spot Tim taken the overall second and Lee settling for third.

Adult group B was second to the line to face the challenges of the great track, Richard Marsh took the first race win but a DNS took him out of the overall finish of the top three. Consistent riding from Ryan James was rewarded with the overall victory followed by Russell Boyles and Tom Herring.

Curtis Blamey won two out of the three races in the Senior race with Ethan Lambert taking the other win to earn him second place and Keaton Butler third.

SW85 and BW85 took to the line next, Tyron Cleaver BW85 dropped it on the first race allowing Dan Troughton to lead the race before he too dropped it; Dan Wheeler took the race win. Tyron Cleaver was unstoppable in the last 2 races and took first overall for the BW85 with Dan Wheeler finishing second  and Thomas Watson third.

Lee Morris finished all three races and took 1st over all for the SW85 followed by Evan Davies and Josh Greedy respectively made the top three in the SW85.

The day proved tough for the juniors and autos who took to the line together James Smith battled on to take the overall win for the juniors followed by Ethan Ruck  and Jack Parker. Charlie Palmer and Zack Dunton tied on points for the Auto overall win followed by Mathew Mears in third position.

3 blocks of racing complete for the new committee who rounded the day up by 3.30pm , and are keen for the next meeting on the 3rd of March.
